The Story Behind the Mother Earth Collection
We've been so thrilled by the response to our new Mother Earth Layflat Notebooks. The collection has a very special story, rooted in our deep connection to the Dorset countryside and our ongoing mission to find innovative, sustainable materials. I wanted to take a moment to share the personal journey behind these new additions.

When I discovered that one of our favourite paper mills was making a paper using waste from fast growing crops such as grass and grain, I knew that we had to add it to our collection. These covers, Moor and Apricot, have a real earthy texture and smell like freshly cut hay. They fit perfectly with our Grass and Seaweed covers and hence we curated the Mother Earth Collection.
I’ve spent most of my life living in the countryside and am acutely aware of the changing seasons and the significant effect that Climate Change is having on our environment. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the problem and to feel that there is nothing that we can do as individuals but I remind myself that we can all make a difference; we can all make good choices and encourage others to do the same.
It's so satisfying to be creating stationery from papers that use the waste from crop growing and hay making, centuries old agricultural practices, together with a paper that is very much the product of a 21st Century problem, single use coffee cups.
Our Mother Earth Layflat Notebooks are a tangible reminder of our connection to the environment. They represent the best of our approach to sustainability; a beautifully crafted, high quality notebook with a story embedded in its fibres.
Thank you for being a part of this journey with us. Every time you choose a product with a story, you're making a good choice.
